Angela Leffel – Red Tent Living

I was introduced to the online magazine Red Tent Living by a friend. She shared Red Tent articles on Facebook, including those she had written and some by other writers.

I waited outside the door. My foster children would soon finish their visit with their parents. It had been a month since the kids had been removed.

As I sit and write this, my heart hurts. I have been present in my feelings yesterday and today. It is painful.

I was enjoying myself. I was 8-years old and having a fun evening at the local roller skating rink.

I sat on the kitchen floor, my leg in pain from a fall and wondered what to do next.
