She teaches me

Heed a muse
Frolic

I planted an apple tree.

Can I make a bath bomb?

Let’s catch lightning bugs.

Inching me closer
to the boundary
of convenience.

She came from me,
so there must be
something of her
that draws
from the well within me.

Perhaps it is just she.

Curiosity whispers
and she consents
No objection
No excuse
No hesitation

Do we have a microscope?

Will you do art with me?

I made butter.

Both feet in,
head first,
either way
she’s going in

Enticing me
Coaxing me
Reminding me

of guttural
hunger pangs I
thought were long
silenced.
