Sabbaths usually happen on Saturdays for me and one of the ways that I celebrate those days is by walking around the two farmer markets here in the city. These are a few of the things that I saw during my Sabbaths this month.

Allison Johnson resides in downtown Chicago and has just entered her last year of college at Moody Bible Institute, where she studies youth ministry. She finds beauty in simplicity and spontaneity, and in the midst of living her life in all of the messiness of being 22. She laughs loudly, dances frequently, and creates art through any and every medium. Her heart is set on living passionate adventures, filled with glorious people and places.

Wow….beautiful and a glorious reminder of fall and sabbath! Thank you, dear one. I miss you…
Thank you for the stroll through the beautiful array of foods and flowers…my heart is warmed to think of God’s creativity. I’m humbled by the hard work farmers do to present the fruit of their labor, a work of art that is fulfilling and calming…a good way to spend part of Sabbath.
Thank you for taking us with you on your sabbath walk, Allison! If only pictures reflected the aromas you must have enjoyed, too!
What a perfect time to stop and become aware of all of our senses…on the sabbath.
This was a gift today…
Creative pictures. Creative captions. Creative you! I loved this!
I love what your eyes see. Thanks for treating us again to the beauty of your world Allison.
