In space, alone, I know You.
In the openness of thought, I find You.
Beginnings of meaning arise and float,
Their destinations, where they go,
Is not for me to know.
You make the space between the finest cracks
Of pressed in ground.
You make the space between the pointed mountain tops
And the waters banks below.
You make the space between mystery and what I already know.
But there is one space that could not remain.
No, it could not be.
You FILLED the space between You and me.
With a sacrifice of love.
To take on all suffering.
To bear all wounds.
To hold all harm.
To be bound by nails in a tree.
And in this, You set me free.
You loved.
You gave.
With out a demand from me.
You filled the space between You and me.
So may I set away time to find it.
Time to remember it.
Time to be in it.
A sacred space.
Where You await my arrival.
Where You long for us to meet.
You filled the space between You and me.
