Sometimes it feels like Thanksgiving gets overlooked on our way to Christmas. This year, it has felt important to me to remain in a space of gratitude as I prepare for the holidays. One of the ways that I have done that was to create a “Gratitude” playlist. I learned years ago the art of mixing songs to create the soundtrack for a season or occasion. When I hear those playlists now, they take me back to a time and a space that brings those memories to life deep inside of me. It has been said that music is what feelings sound like and I couldn’t agree more. The following list includes songs that hold significance to me, touching places in my story and inviting me to feel gratitude today as I enter this week of Thanksgiving.
